Prague Swing Christmas 2017

Had a wonderful weekend playing with The Shirt Tail Stompers in Prague a couple of weeks ago. It's so good to play swing music to dancers like these as there is a real dialogue between the musicians and the dancers. Steve Coombe is an expert at determining the correct tempos for each tune and pair of dancers. We played a wide selection of tunes by the likes of Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, Count Basie etc. The gigs run late into the night and I really don't know how the dancers keep up their energy levels!
