Three pianists fight to the death and then make it all up in a three-piano extravaganza! Ted Beament and Dave Browning and me on pianos, Steve Thompson on bass and Bobby Worth on drums.
TED BEAMENT is one of the finest pianists that Britain has to offer. As well as being a great band player, Ted is equally at home performing as an innovative soloist or providing an excellent accompaniment for any vocalist. As well as being part of the great Humphrey Lyttleton Band for many years, he has played alongside many fine soloists such as Spike Robinson, Al Cohn, Don Rendell to name but a very few.
Ted has performed world-wide and yet manages to maintain his superb musicianship around Britain and on the London jazz scene - of which he is such an integral part.
Dave Browning is an absolute master of stride piano and will treat us to tunes from the likes of Fats Waller, Errol Garner, Teddy Wilson and many more! Dave was pianist with The Hugh Rainey Jazz Band for 23 years until recently when he relocated to the East Midlands. He also worked for Pete Allen and recorded with Pete on several occasions. He recently formed his ‘Jazz Cats’ band and is looking to bring this band to the UK festival scene.
